Burmester, known for extraordinary audio experiences, and Robbe & Berking, masters of silver craftsmanship, present their exclusive limited edition created to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the silver manufacturer. Two companies, united by their legacy in craftsmanship, demonstrate their decades-long passion for precision and artistry with this limited edition.
Design Concept
The collaboration focuses on the BC150 speaker, the 111 musiccenter, and the 218 power amplifier, which, as the anniversary edition, combines the outstanding expertise of both manufacturers. These pieces immortalize the rich history of traditional silver manufacturing and the Robbe & Berking boatyard in a unique symbiosis of design and craftsmanship.
The aesthetic combination of silver and wood gives the BC150 speaker anniversary edition added sophistication. Warm brown tones harmoniously contrast with shimmering silver accents and the elegant champagne tone found in the frame construction. The speaker’s side panels, made from fine yacht deck wood, lend the design a special nautical touch, while the front baffle features a relief specially developed for the anniversary—a tribute to the wave form of the Robbe & Berking design classic Belvedere.
The iconic 111 musiccenter impresses with its housing made of fine champagne anodized aluminum. Silver-plated knobs and a gleaming silver stripe elegantly stretching across the surface provide additional visual highlights. The collection is completed by the 218 power amplifier, which complements the set with champagne-colored anodizing and subtly silver-plated accents.
Exclusive Craftsmanship in Detail
Robbe & Berking’s silver expertise is also reflected in the finely crafted logo inlays that adorn the entire side surface of the BC150 speaker, emphasizing the edition’s exclusivity. Every detail highlights the exceptional character of the collaboration.
This limited edition is created with loving craftsmanship. While some elements are made in Robbe & Berking’s Flensburg manufacturing premises, the complete work is finished in Burmester’s Berlin headquarters, where all parts are meticulously assembled by hand.
This edition embodies not only supreme craftsmanship but is also a tribute to the interplay of technology and tradition—a symbiosis that both Burmester and Robbe & Berking masterfully celebrate in this project.
