There issomething intricate and peculiar with those EMT 15 cartridges. They look

old-fashioned  but represent also German craftmanship. Thiscartridge is obviously

some kindof challenge for many producers. Van den Hul, Brinkmann, Einstein and

TourajMoghaddem (Roksan) all try to improve EMT by adding their own philosophy

to the basicdesign. Touraj a graduate of from Imperial College of Engineering based

his  upgrade on his mechanical insights andprovided the cart with an ingenious body

construction. The generator is fastened with 3 spikes to the body preventing this

wayresonances to reach the headshell . The comments about results are, among

other :‘’crisp , rhythmic nature, astonishing level of detail’’ ; ‘’ease of trackingof

highlymodulated grooves with uncompressed dynamic range and flat fr. response

to beyond30Khz’’.
